Why we do this
Growing up in Sacramento, we saw too many families priced out of quality tutoring. Other agencies charge premium rates and nickel-and-dime parents for online access, app features, and support between sessions. We knew there was a better way. By keeping our overhead low and our values high, we can offer expert tutoring at a fraction of the cost, with everything included. When Sacramento students succeed, our whole community grows stronger.

Lead Tutor
Laith is an 18-year-old college student working toward becoming an engineer. A 2nd-degree black belt and chess guru, he brings the same discipline and strategic thinking to tutoring that he brings to the dojo and the chessboard. He knows firsthand how hard it can be for Sacramento families to find quality academic support at a fair price, and he is committed to changing that.
Laith's dad, a former Silicon Valley insider and experienced teacher, co-founded Sacramento Academy alongside him. He brings decades of experience in education and technology, and designed our curriculum and free app to give every Sacramento family the kind of support that used to be available only to the few who could afford it.
